Georgia Points Reduction Program

Under Georgia law, Georgia residents may request that the DDS reduced the number of points assessed against their Georgia driver’s license by up to 7 points once every 5 years. To qualify for this reduction, drivers must take a driver improvement course - sometimes called a “defensive driving course” - and present the certificate of completion to DSS by mail or in person.

There are a number of drops of authorized driver improvement courses available. Click here for DDS list of approved courses. http://www.dds.ga.gov/training/defensivedrivingschools.aspx
